I had a decent stay at Lavita Hotel. The location is excellent, just a short walk to the bustling Ximending area, which is a highlight. However, the room had some cleanliness issues, and the dim lighting made it feel less inviting. Overall, for the price point, it's acceptable but could use improvements.

Rooms

The Standard Double Room was of decent size, but it felt a bit dirty and had a smell of cigarettes. The lighting was on the dim side, which didn't help the ambiance.
Service

The staff were patient and incredibly helpful, even with my limited Chinese. However, the lack of a 24-hour front desk was inconvenient, especially when dealing with keycard issues.

Being so close to the shopping center and attractions in Ximen was fantastic. Everything I wanted to see was within walking distance, making it a great base for my trip.
Dining
7.0
While there wasn't a formal dining option, the complimentary snack bar offered coffee, snacks, and water, which was a nice touch after a long day exploring.
Facilities

The shared elevator was a bit dirty, and cleanliness should definitely be improved. I also missed having a bidet in the bathroom.

I had a mixed experience at Lavita Hotel. The location was fantastic, being close to everything, including the bustling Ximending night market. However, I faced some significant issues with my room initially, which was moldy and had a water leak. Thankfully, the staff was accommodating and moved me to a better room. Overall, it was decent but could use improvements.

The initial room I was given was quite disappointing with mold and a water leak, but the upgraded room was much nicer and spacious.

Most of the staff were friendly and helpful, but there was one staff member who had difficulty understanding me.

My stay at Lavita Hotel was a mixed bag. On one hand, the location was fantastic and the staff was incredibly helpful, but on the other hand, I experienced some issues with room condition and cleanliness that were a bit concerning.

Rooms

I stayed in a Standard Double Room, and while it was a decent size, I found it to be musty with a water leak around the window. It seemed the staff was aware of the issues but still assigned the room. Fortunately, they were quick to change me to a better room after I alerted them.
Service
8.0
The staff were genuinely lovely. They were patient with my attempts at speaking Chinese and very accommodating when I reported the issues in my room. They even offered some tasty snacks and coffee at the reception which was a nice touch.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location was ideal-close to markets and everything else in Taipei. However, it can be a bit tricky to find at first since it's located on the top level of a building, requiring a lift ride that lacks ventilation (I certainly wouldn't want to be stuck in there!).
Dining
7.0
While my stay didn't include specific dining options, I appreciated the availability of instant noodles and snacks at the reception. It was convenient and definitely catered to both eastern and western tastes.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel seems refurbished and comfortable enough, but the furnishings were slightly dated and the overall building felt a bit run down. I also noticed some cleanliness issues in my room that could use attention.

I had a mixed experience at the Lavita Hotel. On one hand, the room was spacious and comfortable with friendly staff, but I struggled with the location and had some unsettling incidents during my stay.

Rooms
7.0
The room was spacious with a comfortable double bed, though I found the carpet a bit off-putting. Also, the bed was awkwardly positioned too far from the TV.
Service
6.0
Most of the staff were friendly and helpful, but I did encounter one receptionist who seemed to misunderstand what I was saying.
Location
6.0
The hotel is centrally located, but it was initially hard to find due to its signage and it's on the 10th floor, which added to the confusion.
Dining

The lobby offered free snacks, which was a nice touch, but I didn't explore dining options extensively.
Facilities

WiFi was okay but I experienced some issues. Overall, the hotel's facilities were basic but functional.

I had a mixed experience at Lavita Hotel. While the location in Ximending was fantastic, close to the night market and many restaurants, the overall condition of the hotel left much to be desired. The initial entrance was hard to find, and the cleanliness of the elevator turned me off a bit. yet, the rooms themselves were clean and spacious.

Rooms

The Standard Quadruple Room was quite big and newly renovated. it featured a fully sealed door which helped with soundproofing, allowing for a quiet stay, which I really appreciated.
Service
6.0
The reception staff were absent during late hours. I found my booking form and key left on the counter when I arrived past midnight, which felt quite unsafe.
Location
9.0
The hotel had an excellent location, very near the night market and shopping area. I loved how easy it was to explore the vibrant surroundings.
Dining
7.0
There wasn't any breakfast offered, but I enjoyed the free snack bar with instant noodles and decent coffee. it was a nice touch despite it being a basic option.
Facilities
5.0
While the hotel offered some facilities, like free snacks, I noticed a lack of amenities like towels and a wardrobe in the room. this could improve greatly.
